Ask Your Questions about WILPF in the Before and After Conversations!
You’re also welcome to hear about WILPF US issue work by listening in to the Program Committee meeting in between.
Zoom in to talk with me on Tuesday, February 2! As WILPF US President, I want you, our members, to have a chance to freely ask questions and take a little time to talk with me and other members. That’s why we started this communication opportunity in January, providing a space for unstructured conversation, before and (or) after the monthly evening Program Committee.
Join in for the Half-Hours Before and/or After the Program Meeting
As an option, you’re all welcome to listen in to the Program Committee meeting, which starts at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET and will continue until about 7 pm PT / 10 pm ET. The Before/After conversations will each be during the half-hour before and after those times.
However, many of you may wish only to call in for the Before/After Conversations, to
- ask questions,
- share ideas,
- and talk with other WILPFers nationwide.
You can stay on following the Before conversation or sign in early for the After conversation, to listen in to the Program Committee meeting. You’ll learn more about our issue work from these meetings: What questions do you have, about the functioning and activities of our program work? Listen in – and keep track of your questions. (Also, have you looked at our issue committee webpages?)
During the Program meeting, only designated representatives from the issue committees and other program areas will be able to speak. So please make a note of any questions you may have! You can ask your questions and make comments in either the Before or After conversations.
Advance Registration Required!
You can sign into the sessions at any point in the conversations and meeting, but we will not start more than five minutes before the time shown above, despite what the registration webpage says!
After registering, you’ll see the meeting ID on the registration webpage. You’ll have to check the confirmation email that you’ll receive to find the password information needed to join the meeting. Please do not post the ID or password to social media or websites!
Why Call in to Talk/Listen Before and/or After the Program Meeting?
In these Before/After conversations you’ll be able to comment on and/or ask about national and international WILPF. You’ll have the chance to talk with other branch and at-large members, as well as the President and other WILPF US leaders. Additionally, between these two conversations – that welcome the participation of all WILPF members – you may choose to listen in to the Program Committee meeting.
In these Before/After conversations, we’ll –
- ask for your ideas,
- share program-related information, and
- invite your commitment.
If you’re ready, you can volunteer –
- to join a national committee,
- to be an issue committee contact for your branch, and/or
- to become an issue committee member!
