Welcome to Redeemer Life!
|
|
We hope you are all getting ready to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend. A weekend when we reflect on both those who have given their lives for our freedom and those who continue to sacrifice daily for our freedom.
Coming on the heals of Give-to-Give Sunday, it reminds us that there are many ways to express our thanks, including serving those who may otherwise be overlooked. Glorifying Jesus. Lifting up the underserved. Loving unconditionally -- just as our military protect us unconditionally.
When we remember the sacrifice, single-minded dedication and discipline involved in the life of a soldier, we are reminded of what we are supposed to be like as Christians in service to Christ -- sharing the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel.
This Sunday Pastor Dave reminds us of the Power of the Gospel as we both celebrate Memorial Day and reflect back on what was a truly memorable Give-to-Give.
It may be the start of the summer season but Redeemer is OPEN all summer and we hope you will make a commitment to join us whether online or in-person.
Give-to-Give Sunday Recap
|
|
Doug Weinrich, Redeemer's Minister of Servant Leader Development, was determined to make Give-to-Give a YES this Spring after having to place the much anticipated event on hold in 2020. He set big goals, but only God could know the awesome impact Give-to-Give 2021 would make in our community.
Deploying more than 100 servant leaders -- young and old -- to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus last Sunday, we were able to accomplish the following, walking hand-in-hand with God.
|
|
Thank you Doug for your servant's heart and leadership. And thank YOU, friends and family of Redeemer, for being such a loving and healing presence in the community.

A Message from...
Senior Pastor Dave Noll
|
|
Happy Friday Friends,
This morning I was thinking back to when I was a young boy growing up in Maryland. We lived in a home that was at the highest point on the hill. Combine that with wicked, powerful thunderstorms and what do you get? A lot of lightening with our home being a prime target for those lightening strikes!
My folks had a big bay window with a window seat. One of my favorite things to do was to lay on that seat... watching the storms roll in. A visual that I'll never forget was a huge lightening strike that hit our yard about 50 feet from where I was laying. I felt the electrical shock of the strike, the hair on the back of my neck stood up, and I rolled off the seat with a shout!
That's the power of a lightening strike!
This Sunday in Worship, we are going to meet a woman Jesus encountered at noon at a Samaritan well. She was an outsider. When Jesus brought her the radical love that comes through the Gospel, it was a beautiful thing to witness. The power of the Gospel burning away her shame and giving her unconditional forgiveness and grace.
When the Gospel lands, it is powerful!
Please join us this Sunday when I'll share more about the power of the Gospel when it lands in our hearts.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." -- -- Roman 1:16
You can enjoy my full Friday message below.
Blessings,
Pastor Dave

COVID-19 Health & Safety Update
|
|
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Redeemer has adhered to the health and safety guidelines put in place by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Governor Inslee's Office, and the Spokane Regional Health District. We continue to follow the guidance of these organizations.
Washington state has lifted mask and social distancing restrictions for fully vaccinated people, with just a few exceptions (hospitals, travel on planes, trains and buses).
In general, people are considered fully vaccinated:
- 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
- 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine
If you don’t meet these requirements, regardless of your age, you are NOT fully vaccinated.
What does this mean for Worship and ministry events at Redeemer? It means if you are fully vaccinated (per the above), you now have a choice as to whether or not you wear a mask indoors and outdoors. You may also sit with other fully vaccinated people without social distancing.
If you aren't fully vaccinated we ask that you continue to wear your mask and social distance for the protection of yourself and others.
If you have any questions, please call our Church Office (509.926.6363) or connect with Trisha Rountree, Director of Human Resources, at trountree@redeemeralive.org
