Sewer Repairs at 7th & Orange

The city’s contractor will mobilize on Monday May 11th in the evening to begin repairs to the sewer line in 7th Street at the intersection of Orange Avenue.

Work will take place from 9pm to 5am on Monday and Tuesday nights to operate when there is less sewer flow expected and minimize impacts to traffic on Orange Avenue. Night work is expected to be completed by Wednesday morning. The contractor will complete surface restoration on Wednesday May 13th during the daytime. Lane shifts will be implemented on 7th Street and Orange Avenue, but through traffic will be maintained. Access to driveways and alleys will not be impacted.

Parker Pump Station Project Update

Startup and testing at the new pump station are ongoing. The new sewer pump station and four stormwater pumps have completed demonstration testing.

The contractor is modifying temporary recirculation piping to test the remaining three stormwater pumps. After successful demonstration testing, the station will begin a ten-day operational test to verify system performance.

The City will assume operational control once testing is complete. The ten-day test is expected to begin at the end of this month.
