"The month of August in summer is like the Sunday in a weekend."
.
Dear Southern Door Community,
There is a saying that summer vacation is a lot like the weekend. June is like Friday night, with lots of anticipation that the regular work is over, and it's time to relax a bit. July is like Saturday, with an opportunity to get caught up on personal & professional things; and August is like Sunday - school is just around the corner. Like the weekends which go by too quickly, summer vacation is almost over as well.
A lot has been happening in the district to prepare for the coming school year, from teams collaborating on school goals, PBIS plans, curriculum work, and professional development to ensuring the facilities are ready for another year. In addition, our awesome returning staff will be joined by some wonderful new staff members that have been hired. We can't wait to have their expertise and talents join our Southern Door family.
I hope you are taking
the time to enjoy these last summer days with your family before all the school routines, schedules, and activities return
! Stay Eagle Proud and Eagle Strong!
Patti
Patricia Vickman, Superintendent
