National School Counseling Week
National School Counseling Week is February 7th - 11th and highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.

Thank you to our counseling staff for putting so much thought and care into what you do for our students every day.
Blended Learning Academy (BLA)
Current juniors recently heard a presentation about a new opportunity for taking academic courses at DACC.

BLA is a new approach to DACC academic classes that will be available to qualified, full-day seniors for the 2022-2023 school year.

Here is what a typical week will look like in BLA:
  • Mondays and Wednesdays, students will be required to attend in-person class following a regular schedule.
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, students will complete assignments and activities from home. During these days, students will be able to work at their own pace, but will have virtual access to their teachers during their assigned period time through video conferencing.
  • Fridays will look and feel like Hybrid Fridays with students qualifying to work from home. Students who are struggling or have transportation issues will be able to attend DACC on any of the virtual days, follow their schedule, and receive more 1-on-1 help from their teachers. Students are required to attend lab daily.
New - watch the presentation our students received. This presentation has been recorded and narrated by our academic instructors.
To receive more information, join us for a virtual information session on February 10th from 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held through Microsoft Teams. Use this link to join the meeting. Questions can also be directed to Mr. Hale or Mrs. Pitzer.
College Credit Plus Meeting
DACC will be holding a College Credit Plus (CCP) meeting on Thursday, February 10 at 6:00 PM for students and parents interested in taking college classes through CCP for the 2022-2023 school year.

This will take place through Microsoft Teams. Follow this link to join the meeting on the 10th. The State of Ohio recommends students and parents attend a CCP meeting each year to be updated on CCP procedures. Students are required to complete an Intent to Participate form every year by April 1.

CCP is a great option for students to earn college credit while in high school. They can take classes on the DACC campus or directly through universities, such as CSCC, OSU, Otterbein, Central Ohio Tech, Marion Tech, etc. Please reach out to your student’s School Counselor or teachers with questions.
