As you know, We love drums and drummers! Having played for over 60 years, I LOVE to share what I know with as many people as I can. Monday Djembe/Dunun Classes on Zoom! w/Alan Tauber

During the past three years, DrumConnection has developed compelling teaching methods through the Internet to show you how to play your djembe or dunun drums in the comfort of your own home.
With the dunun (African bass drum) melodies playing in the background, we will build upon what we already know and become more musical, getting into traditional hand patterns, and exploring traditional and improvised solo phrases.

Friday Night Djembe Drumming Classes - In-person
FRIDAYS
May 13, 2022 - July 1, 2022, (8 Friday Sessions) 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM.
Munroe Center for Arts - 1403 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington, MA
You will get solid and fun instruction in the music, history and specifics of a series of rhythms from West Africa & the Caribbean.
You will benefit from the teachings of my African, Cuban and Haitian professors before me. You will become a better drummer no matter what stage you are in now.
These intense drumming classes are perfect for Beginner, Intermediate and even Advanced drummers! It's ALL fun and you will get a lot of playing in and good instruction often with commentary from me.
Semester: 8 Friday classes. $169.- ($25 for drop-in or reduced to $139 as classes have already started)

Tuesday Night Djembe Drumming Classes on the Charles River w/ Nancy & Alan
TUESDAYS
June 7, 2022 - July 26, 2022; (8 Tuesday Sessions) 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
with Nancy Browne & Alan on the Charles River, Brighton, MA
You will have solid and fun instruction in the music, history, and the specifics of a series of rhythms from 6 West African countries & the Caribbean for 8 Tuesdays, in in-person classes, in the Boston area. We embrace the African rhythms while playing your djembe outside at the Charles. You will become a better drummer no matter what stage you are at now. In time, you will develop to be a really great DRUMMER!
Semester: 8 Tuesday classes. $169.-

COVID-19 safety measures:
Masks are not required but are recommended for indoor classes. This may change with early any important news coming in…
• Please register each person who is coming at the link. There are payment options there and the easiest for most people is using Venmo as described in the registration form. (You would do that after you register, no rush)
• After you register for the online class, you will receive the simple Zoom link. Click on it anytime (usually 10 minutes before class).
