New Grafted Tomatoes for 2024
| |
|
We are excited to offer so many new cultivars of grafted tomatoes this year. I can't wait to grow - and taste! - them all. Will I still be able to grow some of my old favourites as well? I'm going to need more space. In the garden and in my freezer! These grafted veggies are incredible producers.
Scroll down to explore the new tomato varieties that you could grow this year. Growing food is a great activity at any age but tomatoes can be especially rewarding for children expecially if you grow the super sweet cherries that taste like candy or the Roma type tomatoes that you can make into sauce for your spaghetti. We also have tomatoes with black shoulders, tomatoes that are pear shaped, and tomatoes with stripes -- all of which will add a little extra fun for gardeners of all ages.
If you're a foodie, we have also just released our Summer Bulb & Bare Root Pre-Order with 562 different bulbs, rhizomes, corms, and bare root. There is an edible section with some cool and gourmet edibles.
We have also recently launched the Great Citrus and Rare Fruit Pre-Order with 300+ different species and cultivars including 97 different citrus and tons of other cool, rare, and choice edible plants.
Our other pre-orders include:
- The Rare Flowering Tree Pre-Order
- The Clematis Conundrum Pre-Order
- The Hellebore Hurrah! Pre-Order
- The Camellia Caramba Pre-Order
- The Great Rose Pre-Order
And the following pre-orders over the next weeks:
- The Succulent Situation Pre-Order
- The Hydrangea Hysteria Pre-Order
Stay tuned!
Cheers, Gary and the Phoenicians

The Camellia Caramba Pre-Order Launched!
33 exquisite cultivars for 2024
Welcome to the second year of the Camellia pre-order celebrating this wonderful fall-, winter-, and spring-blooming evergreen shrub or tree. Camellias have long inspired gardeners with their exquisite and varied single, semi-double, and double flowers in shades of white, pink, coral, red, and yellow plus bicolours. The sasanqua types begin to bloom in the fall and continue through winter with delicate, fragrant flowers. The larger-flowered japonica types begin to bloom in late winter and early spring. Some hybrids bloom in the middle of winter. They are an amazing group of woody plants to keep colour going in the garden or on the patio when few other plants are blooming - except perhaps hellebores which make a great underplanting! While most Camellia are hardy to just zones 7 and 8, a few are hardy into zone 6. In colder zones they can be grown in a cool greenhouse or sunroom protected from freezing. Have fun!
