Kaiser Permanente Celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Another successful series of October Breast Cancer Awareness events in the books for Kaiser Permanente’s Greater Southern Alameda Area! This year, in addition to our resource fairs, we had a Zumba dance party at every GSAA campus to spread some joy and celebrate our survivors.

A special thank you to our staff who helped organize the events, and to our community partners who came and tabled our events: Bay Area Young Survivors, Pausitive Outlook, Tigerlily Foundation, Cancer CAREpoint, Inc., Bay Area Cancer Connections, Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area, HERS Breast Cancer Foundation, Women's Cancer Resource Center, The Davis Street Community Center Incorporated, Aura Wellness Club, and Lipstick Angels!

Fremont Celebrates New Robot-Assisted Surgical Technology

On October 21, Fremont Medical Center celebrated the arrival of its first da Vinci surgical robot with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The advanced technology expands access to minimally invasive surgical care in GSAA, giving surgeons greater precision and control during complex procedures while helping patients experience shorter hospital stays, fewer complications, and faster recoveries.
