A Message from the Council President

To the amazing people of Two Rivers,

As we close out another year in Two Rivers, I want to take a moment to reflect on what we’ve accomplished together and to express my sincere gratitude to the many people who make this community great.

First and foremost, thank you to our dedicated city staff who keep our operations running smoothly every single day. Whether maintaining our streets, ensuring public safety, supporting local businesses, managing our parks, or keeping our administrative services responsive and efficient, your work forms the backbone of our city. Your professionalism and commitment to public service are deeply appreciated.

I also want to recognize the countless individuals, volunteers, commission members, community partners, and local organizations who contribute their time and talents to help Two Rivers move forward. A city is strongest when many hands share the work, and we are fortunate to have so many engaged and caring residents.

To the people of Two Rivers: thank you for your continued engagement with your city government. Your participation, whether attending meetings, sharing feedback, voting, serving on committees, or simply staying informed, helps shape our decisions and keeps our community vibrant and responsive. Your voices matter, and they make a difference.

Thank you for trusting in us on Council to make informed, important, and sometimes difficult decisions. We are here for you, and everything we do is to help make Two Rivers successful now and in the future.

This year brought meaningful progress across the city.

*We saw continued investment in our business districts, new commercial activity, and support for local entrepreneurs that help to strengthen our economic base.

*There have been key infrastructure improvements to roads and utilities to help improve safety and reliability.

*Improvements to recreational spaces, trails, and waterfront amenities helped make Two Rivers an even better place to live, play, and stay.

*Ongoing training, equipment updates, and community outreach by our Police and Fire crews help make the city a safe place.

This year was not without its challenges. Like many communities, we faced moments that tested our patience, our resources, and our resilience. Yet each hardship also offered an opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow stronger together. We listened, we adjusted, and we found new ways to collaborate.

These experiences have made us more prepared, more connected, and more determined to keep improving the place we call home.

As we move into the new year, I’m optimistic about the opportunities ahead. Together, with the dedication of our staff, the leadership of our City departments, and the involvement of our residents, we will continue building a strong, welcoming, and forward‑thinking Two Rivers.

Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your commitment to our community. I look forward to all we will accomplish in the year to come.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays!
