Traffic Flow Pick-up Reminders for the First Day of School

As a reminder, our first day of school, Wednesday, August 6, is an early-release dismissal day. Every Wednesday is early-release with K-5 dismissal beginning at 1:25pm.

In order to keep traffic lanes open for half-day Kindergarten pickup, if you are picking up full day students, please do not arrive to campus before 12:30pm to begin queuing for pickup. 

If you are a seasoned parent who is familiar with the traffic flow, we encourage you to arrive at/after 1:35pm tomorrow.

If picking up both Archway and Prep students, please do not arrive before your Prep student's dismissal time (1:30pm for middle school, 1:40pm for high school on Wednesdays), as this will impede traffic flow and you will be asked to circle around and re-enter the pickup line if your student is not ready for pickup.

On Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, families picking up both Archway and middle school students should not arrive campus before Middle School dismissal at 3:15 PM. Scroll to the end of this email for more detailed instructions for families with BOTH Archway and Prep scholars.

As a reminder, Goodyear Police will be monitoring our pick-up/drop-off procedures and will ticket vehicles that are blocking an intersection, are backed up onto Encanto Blvd past the turn lane into campus, or are not following other traffic laws.

General Reminders:

• Morning Drop-off is from 7:20-7:47 AM. Parents who wish to drop-off earlier must enroll in Early Drop-off Club. 
• Parents in the drop-off/pick-up zone must remain in their vehicle. Faculty will assist students exiting their vehicles, however, faculty are not allowed to assist students with car seats, so parents are highly encouraged to practice prior to the start of the year so that students are able to do that independently.
• Please have your ORANGE or GREEN pick-up card clearly displayed on your dashboard during pick-up to help keep our process running smoothly. Pick-up cards will be handed out at Meet the Teacher in your oldest Archway child's classroom.
• Due to limited parking, there will be NO walk-up option for student drop-off/pick-up at this time.
• Parents with both Archway and Prep students, please review the pick-up procedure with your Trivium Prep students before the first day of school emphasizing the importance of arriving to the Archway Pick-up/Drop-off Zone promptly after school to be ready to load into your vehicle.

Archway students may not be dropped off/picked up in the Trivium Prep (6th-12 grade) traffic flow.

After-school Pick Up for BOTH Archway & Prep Scholars

To help make pick-up as smooth as possible, we want to re-iterate the procedure for parents who are picking up BOTH Archway and Prep scholars from campus. If this applies to your family, please see below:

Picking up MIDDLE SCHOOL and Archway child:

• Enter the Archway driveline from Encanto Blvd AFTER 1:35pm on Wednesdays (3:20pm on regular school days).
• Have your ORANGE pick-up card displayed on your dashboard
• Stay in the middle or right-hand lane around the football field. 

Your Middle School scholar should proceed to the sidewalk near the gym and will get in your car as you pull around. Your middle school student may NOT pickup the Archway child to meet you in the driveline.

Picking up HIGH SCHOOL and Archway child:

• Enter the Archway driveline from Encanto Blvd AFTER 1:45pm on Wednesdays (3:00pm on regular school days). 
• Have your ORANGE pick-up card displayed on your dashboard
• Stay in the middle or right-hand lane around the football field. 

Your High School scholar should proceed to the sidewalk near the gym. They will get in your car as you pull around. Your high school student may NOT pickup the Archway child to meet you in the driveline. On regular school days, high school students may wait in the MPR until 3:15pm, if you are picking up Archway, Middle School AND High School students.

Prep Student Driver picking up Archway siblings:

• Prep student driver reports to the Archway door near the basketball court at 1:40 PM (3 PM on regular school days).
• Prep student displays ORANGE pick-up card to staff waiting at the door.
• Prep student follows sidewalks/crosswalks to their car.

Picking up ONLY Archway scholars:

• Enter the Archway driveline from Encanto Blvd.
• Have your GREEN pick-up card displayed on your dashboard
• Follow staff directions to the lane you are directed to.
