Greetings!
Big shifts happening this month. Mars, the planet of action finally went direct after 4 months of pulling us to move inward. For some, that took the form of inertia, others illnesses but for those who listened to the call of the soul, this has been a time to slow down and experience the deliciousness of stillness. If you are still feeling unmotivated, here is why. It will take Mars another few weeks to get its mojo back and because it is in Gemini, that means our mental state and all forms of communication. Mercury is still retro in the sign that rules our career house - Capricorn. Although it stations on Wednesday morning, it will take 4 days to move one degree when it usually moves two degrees in a day on average.
I say this by way of saying, wait until at least the new cycle on the new moon on the 21st of January to take on any new projects. On the world stage, February will bring Pluto to its critical degree of 29 before it dips its toe into Aquarius in March for the first time in 250 years. Next month I will share more about what happens when Pluto, the god of death and transformation is in Aquarius until 2044. This transit is what astrologers have been waiting for for 50 years. Those born from January 20- January 23rd, July 21st - 23rd, October 22- 24th and April 19-21st ( using very narrow orbs on just the sun signs) have been feeling its power since last March and will feel it heating up again this March when it goes to 0 degrees Aquarius.
At the moment, Pluto is exact to where it was at the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Pluto in Capricorn reflects the death of society as we have known it. As it moves back and forth between Capricorn and Aquarius this year, we will see glimpses of the future and its shadow such as more revelation on the dark side of the internet and AI, both ruled by Auqarius and its ruling planet Aquarius as well as more information coming out on extra-terrestrial visitation. In 12 years when Pluto merges with the U.S. chart moon in Aquarius, we will either have used this planet to purify our earth home or it will be toxic beyond repair. Yes, the next 10 years are critical to our survival.
All the planets will be direct for a few months by the end of January which means all systems ago for outer action. We will also see more revelations on the shadow side of politicians as well as the pharmaceutical industry. Pfizer is already getting exposed as it has hiked the cost of Covid vaccines by 400% now that the CDC has added them to children's, adoloescents, and adults vaccine schedule .
Having said that, for the remaining half of January, I would suggest for you on a personal level spend time on the inner plane and do your own shadow work. What limiting beliefs are blocking you from stepping into your highest purpose? As body oriented psychologists say, "the issues are in the tissues." Pay attention to your body. How is it talking to you through either pain or addictive habits? Who are you attracting into your life with addictive habits that reflect how you treat your own body? Further, how do you sabotage yourself from success?
If we don't do the inner work first in this early part of 2023, the spiritual by- pass will bite you in the butt as the year progresses. The frequency shifts taking place are calling us all to live more authentically and aligned with what brings us joy. I will talk more about the year of the rabbit in Chinese astrology at my next global new moon activation on January 23rd but in the meantime, I invite you to bring your fear based younger parts that are still trauma wired to a love fest and ask each sub-personality, "what do you need from me to feel safe so I can step into my calling?"
This is such an opportune time on the planet for confronting your fear of change. You know, those internal voices that may be blocking clarity on your next vocation of destiny.

An Aquarian Woman To Be Reckoned With
Alicia Keys exemplifies the true Aquarian nature of living an unconventional life. As mentioned above, Aquarius rules the future, the internet and all futuristic technologies, and marching to your own drummer. Alicia has a lot of Aquarian planets with a chart that sends even me into envy. No surprise that she was composing at 12 and signed with Columbia Records at age 15. Her debut album at age 20 sold over 20 million records and to date has sold over 100 million records. It certainly helps to have the planet of abundance in the career house but what drew me to research her for this newsletter is her humanitarianism, activism and philanthropy. She has been awarded the Ambassador of Conscience by Amnesty International and co-founded and serves as the global ambassador of the non-profit HIV/AIDS fighting organization "Keep a Child Alive."
Although it is great to have Jupiter in your career house, the real asset in her chart are great aspects from Saturn the planet that helps us be disciplined. She grew up in Hell's Kitchen to a single mother who worked three jobs to support them and pay for her to have classical training on the piano. From the age of seven, she was practicing six hours a day. Where the wound is in Alicia's chart is with her father who abandoned she and her mother at age 2. She claims that it made her tough and focused while living in New York's mean streets. She dressed gender neutral and carried a hand made knife but it was her upbringing with no father to protect her that became the foundation for her passion to help kids and speak out on behalf of children living in disadvantaged homes all over the world.
As she turns 42 on January 25th, her Uranus Opposition next year will arrive at the same time as a Pluto transit where even Aquarians are called to break out of any part of their life that is out dated. Pluto will make a direct conjunction to the sun next year so big transformation is afoot for this singer/songwriter in 2023-2025. I see her using her music to highlight new causes and stepping more into leadership positions with her influence internationally.
Aquarians are known for their altruism but we all can get involved in causes or issues we care about at more modest levels. In my second book, The LifeQuake Miracle I shared some of the clinical research on what humanitarianism does for the immune system so it's not a self less thing to incorporate into your life, it is good for your health.
