Thank You to 9th grader, Mia Anderson, for our bulletin art!

IN OUR PRAYERS

  • We give thanks for the youth and confirmands who will lead us in worship this weekend, and for the five seniors who will speak from the pulpit. You are an inspiration and encouragement to all of us!

  • We pray for Susan Bell’s friend, Mary Filice, who is undergoing cancer treatment. May Mary be sustained by God’s strength and healing grace throughout her treatment, and may she be surrounded by comfort, courage, and loving care.

  • Lori Godwin asks for prayers for the granddaughter and daughter-in-law of her friend, Ann. Ann’s granddaughter, Stella, broke her arm and will need surgery and her daughter-in-law, Meg, is having a lung biopsy. May Stella and Meg know God’s healing presence, strength, and peace in the days ahead, and may Ann and all who love them be surrounded by comfort and hope.

  • Jeff Carpenter asks for prayers for his long-time friend Stuart Holland, who is undergoing treatment for brain cancer. May he feel the support of those who are praying for him and his family.

Scottish Minister to Lead Worship in July

Drumclog Memorial Kirk in Scotland

This summer, during the month of July, LAC will welcome the Rev. Calum Stark, a minister from the Church of Scotland, to preach and lead worship here in Larchmont. While he and his family are here with us, Rev. Bynum will be leading worship in the two congregations that Rev. Stark serves in Scotland: the Avendale Old Church in Strathaven and the Memorial Kirk in Drumclog (click here for more information).

Through this “pulpit exchange,” all three of the congregations will get to hear the Word proclaimed in a new voice, make new friends from “across the pond,” and celebrate our common theological heritage in the Reformed tradition. Each week, Rev. Bynum will be sharing his experience in the Scottish parishes through videos and social media.
