| Strengthening Support for Every Student | |
Dear AL Community,
At Académie Lafayette, we believe that supporting students means caring for the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. This year, we have made intentional investments in our student support services to ensure that every learner has the tools and guidance they need to succeed.
Each elementary school now has a dedicated social worker and a behavior interventionist, providing students with the support they need to thrive both academically and emotionally. In addition, we offer counseling services, tutoring, and academic support programs to ensure every student has the resources to succeed, both during the school day and after.
Our school nurses continue to be a steady presence, promoting student health and ensuring a safe environment across all campuses. We are still working to hire a full-time nurse for the Armour campus, and in the meantime, we have partnered with temporary nursing agencies to ensure consistent care and support for our students.
To foster academic growth, we have expanded tutoring and intervention programs, hiring new reading interventionists in both French and English. Our dedicated interns are also playing a key role in providing our kindergartners individualized attention and classroom support.
From kindergarten through high school, these efforts reflect our unwavering commitment to student success. Every investment—whether in people, programs, or partnerships—helps our students grow not only as learners, but as confident, compassionate members of our community.
Finally, we wish our middle school cross country athletes the best of luck as they head to the state championship meet tomorrow. Go, Musketeers!

The high school is hosting its first annual "FoxTrot 5K Run" to benefit student international travel programs. Come out and support AL's mission to provide real-life global learning experiences. Register to run or make a donation here.
| | Volunteers Needed to Secure $4,000 Donation | | |
A local organization has agreed to donate $4,000 to the ALIHS International Trip Scholarship Fund if we can organize 40 volunteers to assist with two 5K's they are putting on. We need your help to secure it!
Since 2024 ALIHS students have embarked on life-changing adventures to Saint Martin and Guadeloupe, Costa Rica, Senegal and China. This school year two more groups of students will be traveling to Peru and Senegal. In order to sustain these global learning programs that strengthen our school’s international mission, it is vital that we offer funding opportunities that are accessible and equitable.
Please consider giving the gift of your time at one of these community 5K events:

11/27, Ward Parkway Thanksgiving Day Run: click here to sign-up to volunteer as a "course monitor"

The deadline is Sunday, October 26, and this link will be closed. Gifts to be dropped off by November 21 at the building the child attends. Merci! | | Evening in Paris: T-Shirt Update | | Printing for the official 2025 EIP t-shirt will begin after Thanksgiving Break, with delivery before Winter Break. There’s still time to order! If you add a raffle ticket for a chance to win a table at the event, the drawing will take place after Winter Break. | | |

AL PTO sent an email earlier this week with event logistics, and all information is included on the AL PTO website. This is a free event, but families may want to bring cash to purchase snacks from the 7th Grade table. Volunteer spots are also still available! Costumes are encouraged and there will be a costume contest for K-5th grade students.

Don't forget to get your tickets for the Middle School Mixer, happening Oct. 25 from 6-8:30 pm at Armour. Middle school students can also purchase their tickets at the door for $5.
Remember, separate tickets are required to visit the Haunted Hallway ($5 per entry).
Parents, we still need volunteers!
