APM Terminals Powers Our Schoolwide Supply Drive

We partnered with APM Terminals to provide 500 students at West Athens Elementary School with fresh school supply kits for the second semester.

Each student received a pencil pouch filled with notebooks, pencils and other tools they need to walk into class prepared.

APM Terminals also brought a team of volunteers who worked alongside our staff to pack and distribute the kits, ensuring every student started the semester ready to learn.

PROGRAMMING

A Day In the Life of a Perfumer

Our Marina Del Rey Middle School girls dove into fragrance creation during an interactive workshop hosted by Legacy Scent Academy and Travertine Spa Atelier.

Working alongside a professional perfumer, they explored scent notes, learned the art of blending and discovered how creativity and science come together in the fragrance industry. Each girl crafted her own custom fragrance to take home, along with a certificate recognizing her participation.

Watching our girls confidently explore a new field was a powerful reminder of what exposure and opportunity can unlock.

Dancing Boldly with
FP Movement

FP Movement brought energy and joy to 74th Street Elementary School with a Fun Friday dance workshop for our girls.

After an energizing warm-up, they learned a full routine and performed it with creativity and pride.

Families were invited to watch the final showcase, turning the afternoon into a shared celebration. FP Movement also donated athletic wear for participating girls and their families.

Fun Fridays with FP Movement build confidence, strengthen community and give our girls space to move boldly through the world.

NBA All-Star Weekend with Crocs

Girls Inc. LA staff and volunteers were invited by Crocs to participate in the Foot Locker Takeover at LA Live during NBA All-Star Weekend.

Crocs brought NBA superstar Lonzo Ball to showcase his shooting skills and challenge our team in a friendly, high-energy competition. The excitement peaked when he stepped up for the Half Court Shot Challenge, helping secure a generous donation from Crocs to Girls Inc. LA.

It was an unforgettable day that reflected the bold self-expression and lively spirit that our team embodies.
