June and July include Beloit Art Center’s 25th Anniversary Exhibition celebrating a quarter century of art and community in downtown Beloit. It features over 90 pieces of art representing exhibitions from 2000 to 2025 and includes several memoriam pieces loaned by private collectors. This exhibition honors the artists who have shaped the Beloit Art Center’s creative legacy and celebrates the value of the arts in the Beloit community. This is a free event. Hope you can join us!

These mixed media works use classic advertising/ movie/ comic book imagery from the 1950's through the 1980's, combined with patterns and colors reminiscent of the same period to create a narrative that revolves around the theme of the "other".

Handbuilding Pottery Class:
Thursdays June 5 - July 10 from 5:30-8:00pm
COST: $165
Students will explore the world of handbuilding with clay. We will examine fundamental construction strategies including pinch, coil and slab in this six week class. Students will learn glazing methods needed to finish their unique pots. All skill levels are welcome. Clay and glaze will be provided. Students will need to provide their own tools, apron and hand towel.

Qigong involves using exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit to improve and maintain health and well-being. Qigong has psychological and physical components and regulates the mind, breath, and body’s movement and posture. If done regularly, it improves muscle tone, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Many people find it boosts their energy, stamina, and agility and gives an overall sense of well-being. Nancy Mayhew is a certified Qigong instructor with 13 years of experience working with adults.

The Grand Avenue bridge will be closed from State Street to the west end of the bridge starting Wednesday, April 23.
The bridge closure will be in place until the Riverwalk expansion is completed in June 2025. Please take alternate bridges to get to your destination.
