Dear Seniors and Alumni:

Many of you have told us that you intend to apply to graduate school; some will be applying for the class that will be admitted in the fall of 2021. 

We are attempting to set up a loan program for TheDream.US Scholars and Alumni that will provide loans for graduate school tuition and fees. Let me make clear: we cannot promise that we will succeed in starting this program and offer graduate school funding. But I promise you, we’ll try hard to do this. 

We will need lending partners who will put up money. And we’ll need a company to administer the loans. We don’t have those confirmed yet. 

If we are successful in creating this loan program, it will provide loans for graduate programs that are for careers that pay sufficient money so that you will be able to repay the loan. We hope to provide loans for MDs, law (JD) degrees, MBA degrees, and some (but not all) MA/MS degrees. 

A caution: if you can raise scholarship money to help fund graduate school, that is better for you than borrowing the money. Don’t stop trying to raise scholarship money because we may be able to lend you some. If you are admitted, make every effort to get as much institutional aid as you can from your university.
