Judy Phillips & Doug Mryglod

Deodora Estate Vineyard

SPOTLIGHT

Doug Mryglod and Judy Phillips met in Florida, while Judy was working on a home improvement project at The Villages. Doug was a contractor there and got a call about the project. They met in 2012 but didn’t marry until four years later, after purchasing a distressed property in Petaluma that had been used as a goat farm for cheesemaking. After cleaning up the property, Doug and Judy planted 35 acres of grapevines, built their residence and installed two reservoirs while launching Deodora Estate Vineyard. Here’s their story.

WINERY DOGS

"Magnum was born at Paradise Vineyard on August 9, 2010. He loved his walks, chasing the mule around the vineyard and FOOD! He came running anytime you sliced something on the cutting board. Mangum was a great companion and front-door greeter. We can't believe our "Handsome Boy" is gone, but he truly lead a full and wonderful life!"

Lisa & Al Brayton,

Magnum's Dog Parents

Magnum, the winery dog at Paradise Vineyard,
passed away peacefully in June, following a 15-year
role
to protect the vineyard and its owners.
