Stay NJ program, a new initiative introduced by the State of New Jersey to provide meaningful and real property tax relief for senior homeowners. Beginning in 2026, eligible residents aged 65 and older may receive a reimbursement of up to 50% off their property tax bill, with a maximum annual benefit of $6,500. To qualify, homeowners must have owned and occupied their primary residence in New Jersey for the entire calendar year of 2024 and have an annual income of $500,000 or less. If you are under the age of 65, but are receiving Federal Social Security Disability, you will also be able to qualify for the Stay NJ program. Please note that mobile homeowners are not eligible for this particular program.

Christ Church member, Anna Rose Gable, held a discussion of challenges facing Christ Church's undocumented neighbors. Click the button below to learn about various ways to get involved in efforts to provide relief.

Join us this weekend at Christ Church as we celebrate and say farewell to Rev. Hollis & Inori

Cleanup Volunteers Needed! Many hands make light work.

We are looking forward to a beautiful celebration honoring Rev. Hollis, and could use a few volunteers to help us wrap it all up. If you're able to stay a bit after the party to lend a hand with cleanup, we'd be so grateful! Even a few extra minutes can make a big difference. Thank you in advance for helping us end the evening with the same spirit of love and community that Rev. Hollis has shared with us all.

Join Us in Song for Rev. Joanna's Farewell Service on Sunday, August 3rd

We warmly invite all members of our congregation to participate in a special open choir as we celebrate and honor Rev. Joanna's ministry with us. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together in song and express our gratitude through music. We'll be performing two beautiful but accessible pieces - one alongside our children's choir and another as our combined adult voices. No extensive musical experience is required, as these selections have been chosen with everyone in mind. We'll gather for a brief 30-minute rehearsal immediately following this Sunday's service to learn the music together. Your voice, whether strong or gentle, adds to the richness of our community's farewell gift to Rev. Joanna. Come as you are and help us create a memorable musical tribute that reflects the love and appreciation we all share for her faithful service. Bach lovers come early to hear Toccata in F Major -it's 10 min of joy!

Note-ably,

Suzanne

On August 10th, the Wardens will be holding a Parish Hall Meeting in the Sanctuary immediately after the 9:30am Service. The purpose of this meeting is to advise the Parish of the progress in the search for an Interim Rector and to announce the service schedule for August and September. You are all invited to attend and we will be happy to address any questions you may have.

The Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) and the Office of Government Relations (OGR) have launched a new Immigration Action Toolkit page on the Episcopal Church website.

This toolkit consolidates a wide range of resources in one place, making it a go-to destination for immigration information. While some resources focus on the Episcopal Church's response to the current situation, it also includes helpful links on topics like Family Preparedness and Know Your Rights, which are valuable to people of all faiths or none at all.

To stay updated on this ever-evolving issue and hear from knowledgeable

experts, a 30-minute weekly webinar is available. You can register here.
