Rabbi Schneier Honored
At Embassy of Azerbaijan
Washington, DC
| | |
Tuesday afternoon, H.E. Khazar Ibrahim, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the U.S., hosted a private reception in Washington D.C. to celebrate the Azerbaijani translation of Sons of Abraham/Ibrahim Ogullari co-authored by Rabbi Marc Schneier and Imam Shamsi Ali, published by Random House/Beacon Press.
The translation was at the directive of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, a testament to Azerbaijan's commitment to strengthen Muslim-Jewish cooperation and interreligious dialogue. It is the latest in a series of translations of Rabbi Schneier's book, including French, Arabic, Hebrew, and Indonesian.
The event was joined by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, H.E. Yerzhan Ashikbayev, diplomats from Muslim countries, religious leaders, business representatives, and other key stakeholders, including Shari & Hampton Synagogue President Jeffrey Zuckerman, who offered congratulatory greetings on behalf of the congregation.

Dune Deck Shuttle
Beginning Next Weekend
| | See you at Shul! Dune Deck is again very generously providing Saturday shuttle service that makes regular loops around Westhampton Beach [see schedule and stops below - watch for the white Hampton Hopper minibus], connecting Dune Road with the village. This hop-on/hop-off community service will again be available, free of charge, to anyone who wants it. This year, the service is expanded with stops on the "mainland," including the corner of Bayfield Lane and Oneck Road. This service may enable those who find it difficult to walk long distances in the summer heat to attend The Hampton Synagogue, as one of the stops in town is at CVS, just across the street from the synagogue. | | 2025 Annual Gift Campaign | | Click to make your 2025 Annual Gift Campaign Contribution | | Last Tuesday, children gathered at the Pratt-Revere Culinary Studio @Jack's House for the final Kosher Cooking Class of 2024-2025. With an eye towards the upcoming festival of Shavuot, the children created and enjoyed cheesecake muffins. Looking forward to more delicious masterpieces next Fall! | | |

Located at Jack’s House, the Manes Art Center of The Hampton Synagogue in Westhampton Beach engages members of the greater Hamptons community in high-quality works of art and cultural experiences for the educational and enhancement of all.
The Manes Art center is the gift of our distinguished benefactor, Dr. Harvey Manes, a passionate collector of art for over 40 years. Dr. Manes sits on the Board of the Nassau County Museum of Art and has lent numerous works from his collection to notable museums, including the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), Heckscher Museum, NCMA, Jewish Museum-NYC, and others.
The quality and breadth of the Manes Art Center collection features an eclectic collection of modern, contemporary, and old master artists, as well as sculptures. Artists in the collection include Andy Warhol, Basquiat, Koons, Salvador Dali, Roy Lichtenstein, Marc Chagall, Yaacov Agam, Jim Dine, among others.
On permanent view in the Barnet Family Chapel is the work of world-renowned artist, Dale Chihuly, who designed and created the Chapel’s Fiore windows that allow natural light to interact with the space in dynamic harmony, Eternal Light, and the only Menorah of Chihuly’s illustrious career.
| | | | We are proud to offer the only Jewish study library & Beit Midrash in the Hamptons as a community resource, containing both volumes of torah scholarship and general Jewish knowledge & culture. We invite you to visit The Aranowitz Library in the Kaylie Center, open during normal business hours and on Shabbat. | | | | |
