Squash Court Transition + Weekly Round Robins at CSA Beginning May 4
Hi ,
We’re reaching out directly to our squash community with an important update and, just as importantly, a plan to support you through this transition.
This past Wednesday, the Cincinnati Sports Club finalized a partnership with the Cincinnati Squash Academy (CSA) as we have made the difficult decision to eliminate the squash courts as part of a broader space reallocation tied to our Vision 2040 Master Plan. This decision was guided by a detailed review of facility usage, court utilization, industry trends, and best practices for maximizing square footage to continue to enhance member experience and relevance. With one court already converted for fitness and a future locker room expansion requiring more than 1.5 courts of space, there was not a workable option that allowed the project to move forward while keeping courts in place. We recognize this is not ideal for our squash players, and we sincerely apologize for the disruption.
Supporting the squash community matters to us, which is why we have partnered with the Cincinnati Squash Association (CSA) on Virginia Avenue to provide consistent, organized play and an option for those who want even more access.
About the CSA
The Cincinnati Squash Academy (CSA) is a sports & education nonprofit that’s primary aim seeks to create a transformative impact on a select group of motivated, underserved youth in the community. Adult membership is one way to financially support the mission, and adult membership needs and wants are secondary to youth programming.
Mission: To provide consistent opportunities and long-term support to less advantaged Cincinnati youth (middle school to college age)
- Life-skills mentoring
- Academic tutoring
- Squash training
- Postsecondary services
Vision: To help economically and less advantaged youth become their best selves, so that they can live their best lives. The Cincinnati Sports Club is honored to assist the CSA in achieving this mission for the youth of Cincinnati.

Registration Details
Jeff Roman, CSC Head Racquet Pro, will facilitate registration for the weekly Monday night round robins through the CSC member app. You’ll see the program posted there, and registration will follow the noon deadline each Monday. If not current members of the CSA, you will have to sign a liability waiver before play begins.
CSA Adult Membership Opportunity (Optional)
For members who want additional access beyond Monday nights, CSA is extending a special adult-only joining opportunity:
-
CSA joining fee: Normally $75, reduced to $30 for CSC adult squash players
-
Monthly CSA membership: $80/month
-
Trial option: One-month trial membership for $30
-
Note: Any member who chooses to join CSA will do so directly through CSA and will be responsible for all fees.
This was a difficult decision and not made lightly. As a multi-generational Club that serves the whole person - mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually - we know the member experience looks different for everyone, and not every decision will feel right to every member.
While no single solution will meet every individual squash need, we recognize the disruption this creates and worked hard to provide a meaningful option that supports continued play and community, while keeping CSC strong, sustainable, and positioned for future growth.
