THIS WEEK IN HOUSTON

February 11–15, 2026

Houston, this is one of those weeks where you’ll wish you could clone yourself. Conversation is everywhere — between word and image, music and memory, history and reinvention. From Frida Kahlo reframed through a Chicana lens at MFAH to a Rauschenberg deep dive at the Menil, from performance lectures to literary crossovers and a Valentine’s Day opening centering Latino voices, the city feels especially alive with dialogue.

And if you want even more context beyond listings, I’m expanding this conversation on Substack. There, MUSED Houston features my weekly Top Five (plus a Wild Card worth your time. My companion publication, MUSE-ings: Notes from the Art World, offers deeper reflections on culture, legacy, and the ideas shaping the moment.
