At the Northern Lights Foundation, we meet families during one of the most difficult times in their lives. But before we can help them, they have to find us.
While many of the families we help are referred by someone on their medical team, many learn about us in their own community. A friend. A neighbor. A coworker. Someone who knew about Northern Lights Foundation and took a moment to share.
This month, we’re asking for your help to do just that.
How families find us.
Families are often connected to Northern Lights Foundation through:
• Word of mouth
• Someone on their medical team
• A shared social media post
• A recommendation from someone they trust
That simple connection can make all the difference.
Who we can help.
The Northern Lights Foundation provides unrestricted grants to children in the Northland facing a life-threatening illness. These grants are designed to support families during a very challenging time, however they need it most.
We work to assist families who meet the following conditions:
• At the time of referral, the medical condition has become life-threatening
• Child is up to the age of 18
• Family lives within 100 miles of Duluth, Minnesota
We also have a Twin Cities Chapter supporting families in the immediate Twin Cities area.
