Are you down, disheartened, and discouraged? I want to share a Scripture with you I found in my morning devotions today. It helped recalibrate my mind, and it gave me immense peace and comfort knowing God is in control. Amid the chaos in the world: Afghanistan, pandemics, and divisions at every level and turn, I needed this verse. I needed God's peace, comfort, and understanding; He is in complete control.
Tucked away in the book of Ephesians, the apostle Paul wrote, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10 NKJV).
You and I were created, by God, His workmanship, to do good things. God's purpose for us, established before the creation of the world, and His intention is for us is to walk in His will and ways. God calms the storms we are in and even gives peace during chaos in the world. Nothing surprises God. He is never caught off guard or thrown off balance!
Trust in the only One and true God who loves you and provides a life worth living through His Son Jesus Christ. God will give peace when peace seems far to find. Recalibrate to true north. Don't forget, you are His workmanship.
P.S. Please join me in prayer for Afghanistan, our American brothers and sisters who are stuck and trying to flee to safety. Pray for the families impacted by the death and destruction going on. We are in desperate need for godly strong leadership. Amen
