Winston’s Summer School BBQ on Tuesday was a sizzling success, thanks to our talented culinary arts students who served up delicious hamburgers and hot dogs with flair! It was an excellent time for students to get acquainted with new faces and renew connections with old classmates while taking a break from their studies.

On Monday evening, our retiring Head of the School, Mary Sterling-Torretti, received a proclamation from Mayor Dave Druker on behalf of the Del Mar City Council. Mayor Druker honored Mrs. S-T for her extraordinary dedication and transformative leadership at the Winston School since 1989. He highlighted her pivotal role in developing the school curriculum, securing essential accreditations, and fostering an environment of academic excellence. Mayor Druker praised her deep commitment to education within Winston and the broader San Diego community and acknowledged the lasting impact of her mentorship and innovative approaches. As Mrs. S-T prepares for retirement, he commended her unwavering commitment to inclusive and rigorous education and her efforts to ensure a smooth transition for the school's future leadership.

Begin with a warm welcome and a city walk, exploring Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and the Boston Public Garden.
