Don’t forget to register, and bring along as many folks as possible!

Celebrate with us WILPF’s 110 year legacy of courage, peace, sisterhood and activism. This won’t be an ordinary celebration. We’re planning a fast-moving one-hour long tribute to the organization we love and the women who’ve inspired us for over a century. Please plan to attend, and promote this event to your friends, allies, family and community. This will be an excellent program with which to introduce WILPF to prospective members, new allies, and friends. It will proudly present the organization to family members who perhaps haven’t quite understood your allegiance and time commitment. As we approach Mother’s Day, it will provide a way to introduce WILPF to your daughters and granddaughters in a way that describes all that’s best in WILPF and invites their engagement.

As WILPF members we’re asking you to make a concerted effort to bring 4 to 5 people with you to this event. Invite friends and allies to this and other WILPF programs that can inspire and create solidarity for the work of peace and justice. This program will be a positive way to build local ties with progressive women across many issues in a time when so much of our democracy and rights are under attack.

Use this event as an organizing opportunity. If you are in a branch, use this event to recruit new branch members. If you are an at-large member, use it to introduce WILPF to progressives in your community who may never have heard of WILPF. Forward this eAlert far and wide, and include a personal invitation to join you.

This is a fundraiser for WILPF at a time when we are called to respond with new strategies and new energy. The suggested donation at registration is $40, but you can donate as little as $10 and attend.

We encourage you to hold ‘watch parties’ and split the cost with attendees. Please invite folks to learn more about WILPF.

There will be performances by Emma’s Revolution, spoken word artist Brit Nicole, and singer-songwriter Lea Morris. There will be shoutouts and congratulatory messages from old and new WILPF members, branches, friends and some surprise guests.

You don’t want to miss this event.

Be part of the event. The presentation will be a pre-recorded celebration, but immediately following, attendees will have the opportunity to comment, express their own congratulations to WILPF, and share stories of how they were inspired by WILPF women to join and remain active in WILPF US.

Truly a feel-good experience!

Do share our eAlert with others. Make the most of this opportunity to introduce WILPF’s heart. Looking forward to sharing this time with you!
