Ready to dive right in to a rather colossal loaf of bread (from Sunflower Oven by the way), father and child are chilling at the Mississippi Farmers Market!
Sunday is the First Day of summer and it's Father's Day!
What a sunny combination that is. It seems like we have been "enjoying" summer for weeks. Hot and humid weather looks to be in our future until Thanksgiving!
We can take it though because our fathers and those father figures in our lives have told us that we can take and overcome anything. Check out the Genuine MS Store for something for dad, plant a tree in his honor, "forage" for all of the ingredients and goodies you need to make your dad a delicious Mississippi meal. It's all here at the Mississippi Farmers Market!
On June 19, Americans will celebrate Juneteenth, a holiday commemorating the day news of the Emancipation Proclamation reached Texas, with block parties, cookouts and educational events. While Juneteenth celebrates the Emancipation Proclamation, which only freed slaves in the South, the 13th Amendment is what officially ended slavery in the United States of America.
The Genuine MS Store is Open
Monday - Friday 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. & Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The Genuine MS Store
The Genuine MS Store is open Saturdays in the Mississippi Farmers Market from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., and Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

So, as you shop for Mississippi grown, raised, crafted and made items throughout the farmers market, be sure to step into the Genuine MS Store for more Mississippi products.
June 21st is National Peaches and Cream Day!
Well my goodness - peaches and cream actually share a national holiday and it's Monday...how divine!
Stop by the Mississippi Farmers Market on Saturday and load up on fresh Mississippi-grown peaches - several of our vendors have them.
Follow the concrete road to T & R Dairy for some cream. Don't be tempted to dive right in over the weekend because Peaches and Cream must be celebrated in style - on Monday!
