We have a new look and format for the IPBC Newsletter! It will now be broken out into two (2) different newsletters. At the beginning of the month, IPBC member groups will receive the IPBC Updates Newsletter, and mid-month, we will send out the Vendor Updates Newsletter. We hope you enjoy the new look and schedule.

Plan Rules

& Administration

We are planning an educational session on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 1:30 P.M. to review your Plan Rules and Administration. The recent increase in exception requests has underscored the necessity for clarity and a stronger understanding within the IPBC member groups.

Following this session, exceptions will be granted exclusively for genuinely exceptional circumstances, ensuring a more streamlined and efficient process moving forward.

Deadline: January 1, 2025 Open Enrollment

If you are an IPBC member group that uses a 1/1 OE date, please review the document below. Please note that the dates listed are FIRM. We will not be able to accept modifications after the dates listed nor are we able to extend the timelines listed. This ensures that all the information is in the platform and able to be transmitted to the carriers in a timely manner.

Please review the dates and communicate them to your employees, and make sure your employees are turning information in by the deadline.

Upcoming Governance Meetings

Board of Directors - the first Board of Directors meeting under the newly-adopted by-laws will be on Thursday, September 26 at 9:30 AM via Teams. Please remember that all IPBC members groups are now members of the Board of Directors. You can register to attend this meeting here.

Upcoming Committee Meetings

All meetings are online via Teams. Committee members should have already received a meeting invite. Other IPBC member groups are welcome to attend any committee meeting. Packets with meeting links are posted a few days prior.

Year-End Reconciliation

In previous years, IPBC members would need to provide a year-end reconciliation at the close of the IPBC Fiscal Year (June 30^th). However, with the transition to PlanSource and the enforcement of the 90-day rule for all retro adjustments, the year-end reconciliation process is no longer necessary.

If you have any adjustments that need to be made for the past 90 days, please enter them into PlanSource and they will appear on your next monthly invoice. Again, please remember to accurately maintain your employee data within PlanSource throughout the year and check your invoices so all adjustments can be made in a timely manner.

2023-2024 Wellness Incentive Calculations

The 2023-2024 Wellness Incentive Calculations are available. There were some errors that have been rectified. Any comments/questions are due to your Benefit Consultant by 8/2/24 EOD. The incentive calculations will submitted for inclusion in the audit once any questions have been addressed.

Please note that the incentives will not be available for withdrawal until after the Audit is approved in late 2024.
