Looking for Field Trip Tour Guides
We’ll have about 1000 pre-school and elementary school aged children visit our pumpkin patch this year for field trips and we need more help this year making their event memorable. Share days and time that you’re available, to help throughout October, and let Ms. Brenda Breter know that you are ready to help. Or email tsorrell@firstchurchpo.org with your information.
| The Thrift Boutique has a unique opportunity to serve! We need someone to take unsold books from the store and donate them to an appropriate outlet (e.g. library, shelter, school, etc.) This should be done once a month. If you can help out in this important way, please stop by or contact Ryan at the Thrift Boutique, 386-767-6511. | | | |

The Food Pantry Thanks You First Church
FUMC friends and family – thank you for your donations and generosity to the food pantry! With your help we were able to assist 71 (41 adults & 30 children) families in August and 94 (59 adults and 35 children) family in September! Food donations are always accepted and appreciated. The panty is in need of canned meats – i.e. vienna sausages, spam, chicken. We could not do this ministry without your help. Thank you!

New Outreach Opportunity
In an effort to help incentivize and invite Pumpkin Patch Customers to church services, we will be making mini loaves of our Pumpkin Bread to give to first time guests that are invited from conversations in the Pumpkin Patch. If you see someone with a mini loaf on Sunday Morning, introduce yourself and welcome them to services. (Mini Loaves are not for sale and first times guests will have received an invite card from conversations from the pumpkin patch tent.)

Benefit from a High-Yield Savings By Investing with the Foundation.
The Florida United Methodist Foundation’s Development Fund is a savings and loan fund established by the foundation in 1976. Its mission is to help Florida United Methodist churches and faith-based agencies and nonprofits have a reliable, readily available and affordable source of loan funds for renovation projects, new construction and loan refinancing.
ANY individual, church, school, business or agency can invest in the Development Fund with a minimum investment of $100. The foundation uses the fund’s accumulated assets to offer low-interest loans for new construction, expansion and maintenance. At the same time, investors earn a competitive annual interest rate.
Since its launch, the foundation has loaned hundreds of millions of dollars to churches and agencies across Florida with no defaults.

Planned Giving with the Florida United Methodist Foundation
Planned giving is a way to continue a lifetime of generosity and support vital ministries for years to come. Donors can arrange to give an asset now or sometime in the future, often receiving immediate financial benefits. At the same time, donors are able to make a lasting impact on the ministries they value most.
The Florida United Methodist Foundation is available to help you determine the gift options that are best for you and establish your planned gifts. It also administers funds for Florida Conference churches and agencies.
