GIS Applications for

Local Public Agencies

If you missed the webinar, the recording is now posted to our YouTube channel.

Check it out here!

Geared towards busy professionals with little to no GIS experience, this webinar introduces concepts and applications that are most relevant to local agency use, offering examples from DOT, MPO, and LPA perspectives.

See how GIS StoryMaps can be used to build data-rich visual narratives that allow a non-technical audience to see complex patterns and relationships, or as CALTAP Director O'Brien says, "Learn how to love GIS, even if you are not a GIS technician."

Contract management of Architectural & Engineering (A&E) procurement is the most common finding in audits of Local Public Agencies. In response to this risk, Caltrans has prepared a Contract Management Reference Guide (CMRG) for A&E procurement that contains instructions covering regulations and best practices to help your agency successfully navigate everything from consideration of A&E services to contract closeout.

Please join Caltrans staff at this FREE training as they highlight key sections within the CMRG to help agencies administer A&E procurement contracts on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:30am.
