WKU’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences announced the Department of Education's approval of the WKU SAV-Y program.
This Comprehensive Transition Program (CTP) will provide eligible students with an intellectual disability the opportunity to enroll in WKU courses to acquire workplace skills and competencies while gaining academic knowledge in an inclusive environment. The ultimate goal of the program is to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in finding employment opportunities within our region.
The three-year CTP program is designed to offer a college experience, blending in-class learning with valuable campus experiences.
The WKU SAV-Y program will be housed in the Suzanne Vitale Clinical Education Complex at WKU and welcome the first cohort of students in Fall 2024.
