Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 11:50 AM to 1:00 PM EST
This CEU, presented by Benjamin Moore & Co., will explore the physical and emotional affects of color and the various elements that contribute to these reactions. It will examine how the eye and brain process color and consider how color is a tool for communicating messages. PLUS explore the Color of the Year & 2021 Color Trends!
The presentation, worth 1.0 AIA LU|HSW, is FREE for AIA members and NCARB AXP participants.

Would you like to learn more about the American Institute of Architects?
Would you like great networking opportunities meeting Emerging Professionals and Architects in the city, state, or region?
Would you like to be move involved in promoting our profession and being involved in the community?
If so, please apply for an Associate Grant Recipient. This Grant provides free AIA membership for a year in exchange for involvement in one of the following committees:
Trade Fair
Programs
AXP (Architectural Experience Program- formerly the Intern Development Program)
Communications (Website & Social Media)
House Tour
Membership
Each year, this give Architectural Interns and Emerging Professionals the chance to be active in the Central Kentucky Chapter. For those not familiar with the program, each year the AIA-CKC pays the membership costs for up to ten people to become Associate AIA members and for two licensed architects who have been licensed under 5 years and have never been an AIA member.
Current and prospective AIA Associate members are eligible. Applications should be returned by email to Anna Triplett, AIA at anna@reesedesign.com by February 8, 2020. The applications will be voted on at the February AIA-CKC board meeting.
Please note applicants who are not already members must fill out the AIA Associate or Architect membership application as well.

This committee was formed to foster an ongoing dialogue about the issues of EDI and to support those who are underrepresented in our profession. Please join us in the conversation. Design Competition at Bernheim |

OUTSCHOOLED is Bernheim’s new design competition for creating innovative, affordable, practical, and healthy outdoor classrooms.
Eligibility and awards:
Both amateur and professional designers can submit, and both team and individual designs are welcome. Top designed will receive cash prizes. All submissions will be publicly displayed.
Timeline:
Deadline for submission: February 26, 2021
Winners announced: March 12, 2021

AIA Dues Assistance Resources |
|
2020 was a challenging year for everyone. We would like to share some resources to assist with AIA Dues for 2021. The final deadline to renew your membership for 2021 is March 31st, 2021. At that time, your membership will be lapsed and removed from the member rosters.
Due Installment Program – Through AIA National, this program helps to spread out the payments between now and June. See the link for more information.
Additional Assistance- If you are an individual who has had extenuating circumstances that have caused extreme hardship, you may qualify for reductions and/or waivers through the Secretary of the Institute. These circumstances may include financial hardship, unemployment/partial employment, medical disability, sabbatical and family leave.
