The Arts Council of Placer County is proud to be

celebrating 40 years of bringing more art to more people!

Through grants, education, connecting with underserved, using the arts to drive equity, and advocating for the economic impact of the role of the arts we work to help the arts thrive in Placer County.

We'll be recognizing 40 icons of arts, rolling out a new website, and celebrating now through November, the designated Arts & Culture Month for Placer County! Join the ACPC team in celebrating!

Access Dance

Access Dance offers free creative movement classes designed especially for children with disabilities at the Northern California Dance Conservatory (NCDC). After seeing a child with special needs watch her sibling at the studio, the the program was born by Jen Bradford and Lindsey Oester.

Students that need special attention in order to fully experience the joy of movement, self-expression and therapeutic benefits of dance now have a wonderful place to do just that. Classes serve children with disabilities such as autism, down syndrome and cerebral palsy. The ACCESS Dance program is directed by Lindsey Oester a passionate and experienced dance teacher and a behavioral therapist.

ACPC is proud to have awarded funds for the Access Dance Program.

Meet the Artist

Ann Ranlett

Ann has a degree in biology, and calls herself a "bio-nerd"! That degree has also served her well in her amazing, detailed art.

She creates Scratchboard art, explaining that she "draws white with a knife." An X-Acto knife is her primary tool for this intricate process.

Her art is available locally at High-Hand Gallery & Auburn Old Town Gallery.
