Friends in Faith,

I just learned something that seems almost too good to be true — especially if you’re not already a Thrivent member. This is going to sound like a commercial, but bear with me.

You may know that Thrivent members can lead up to two $250 Community Action Team Grants each year to support service projects, education, or fundraisers. That’s up to $500 annually for causes you care about.

But just learned that you can become an Associate Thrivent Member for just $20/year and receive:

I'm not a mathematician, but here's how I see that: pay $20 to get at least $275 to give away.

"But wait, there's more!"

The Redwood Thrivent branch is offering the first year of Associate Membership FREE through a pilot program.

So essentially: pay $0 and direct at least $275 toward helping others.

This probably reads like a commercial for Thrivent, but I'm telling you, there’s no obligation to purchase insurance or investments. This is simply a wonderful opportunity to encourage generosity and support ministries and community needs. I’ve seen these grants bless projects like Mission Quilting, Santa’s Closet, Back the Pack, youth ministries, 2B Continued and more. If you can't think of ways to use $250 to love your neighbor, I'd be happy to give you some ideas!
