Principal's Message

We are already actively engaged with admissions/enrollment planning for the 2026-2027 school year. Many tours have been given, with families very eager to enroll their children at Guardian Angels next school year. We have experienced an increase in enrollment in each of the previous six years and anticipate similar interest for next year. As availability has become increasingly limited in many grade levels, we will once again begin the re-enrollment and new student registration processes in the fall.

The following re-enrollment and new student registration timeframes have been established.

  • All current families will be sent a re-enrollment email on Friday, November 14.
  • Current families will be able to register new students on Monday, November 17.
  • Registration link opens on December 9, 2025, at 10:00 am for all new students who currently do not have siblings in the school. Current families must be fully enrolled by this date!
  • All parishioner families will be given priority status until January 9, 2026
  • All families will be notified of acceptance on January 23, 2026

Admissions Activities

  • Preschool/PK Open House: November 5, 5:00-7:00 pm
  • KDG-8 Informational Coffee: November 20, 9:00-10:30 am
  • KDG-8 Information Coffee: December 2, 6:00-7:30 pm

Please encourage families interested in enrolling their children at Guardian Angels to attend one of the upcoming Informational Coffees or to contact the school office to set up a personal tour.

God Bless,

Corey Stoops

Recognizing Our Amazing Teachers!

Everyone knows that Guardian Angels boasts some of the most amazing teachers and staff members! Each week, we want to recognize two of them and shower them with love and appreciation. This week we celebrate our Music Teacher, Choral Director, and School Librarian, Holly Leach, and our Safety Resource Officer, Ron Fuller.

Holly truly embodies the spirit of dedication, seamlessly juggling her roles in teaching music, guiding students in discovering their favorite books, and directing our concerts and plays. Her passion for the arts shines through in everything she does, inspiring students to embrace their diverse talents. We are incredibly grateful for the many roles you take on, Holly!

Ron consistently demonstrates exceptional commitment to our safety. His proactive efforts in enhancing our campus and connecting with students are truly commendable. He is always quick to respond to any situation, approaches each issue with kindness, and is open to discussing concerns. Thank you, Ron, for always prioritizing our students' safety! Your dedication is greatly appreciated!

Please join us in recognizing and celebrating these two outstanding GA staff members. You can leave a kind note here. Notes, cards, emails, flowers, gift cards, etc. are always appreciated!

i-Ready Results

Some families have mentioned difficulty viewing their child's i-Ready results due to unsupported browsers. Below is a list of supported browsers that can be used to view your child's results. Please also ensure you allow pop-ups for i-Ready on that browser.

Fourth Grade Maker Space Lab

Fourth graders have been exploring technology and the engineering design process in the STEM Lab/Maker Space using Ozobot Evo robots! These tiny robots follow color-coded lines that allow them to change speeds, perform special moves, and navigate intersections. Students designed and tested multiple track iterations to solve puzzles, race their bots, and tackle maze challenges. With the addition of new color-coded magnetic tiles this year, they’ve been able to experiment even more with intersections and line-changing codes. This hands-on experience has made our engineering design process unit more engaging and fun than ever!

Preschool Open House

A Preschool Open House will be held Wednesday, November 5th from 5-7 pm. This event is specifically for anyone considering enrolling their child(ren) in the preschool and/or pre-k program for the 2026-2027 school year. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP through the link below.

Upcoming Admissions Events

This year, we are hosting two Informational Coffee Sessions in place of a traditional Open House. These small group sessions create the opportunity for those interested in Guardian Angels to meet Corey, have their questions answered on a personal level, and see the school in action! These are for anyone considering enrolling their child(ren) in kindergarten through eighth grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Please RSVP through the appropriate link below and share it with anyone who is interested in learning more about Guardian Angels School.

Great News for Anyone Who Pays Ohio Income Tax and Supports Guardian Angels

We have many students at Guardian Angels who benefit from scholarships provided by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). Ohio taxpayers who donate to the CEF may be able to claim a dollar-for-dollar, non-refundable tax credit on their state income tax return, up to $750 per donor. For more information, click here.

We hope you consider a donation before the end of the year and choose "Guardian Angels School (Cincinnati)(C00160)" from the drop-down when prompted.

Parishioner and tax expert, Brien Dulle, is donating. Here's what he had to say. "Supporting the CEF is a no-brainer for me for two reasons. As a graduate of GA that is also sending my daughters to the school, I want to invest in the education that our children receive. Secondly, there's no extra money out of pocket since I can claim a dollar-for-dollar Ohio tax credit."

Safe Snack List

Please be mindful of our Safe Snack List when bringing in food items for distribution to other students. A comprehensive list of what is allowed to be brought in can be found on our school website here. All items brought in for distribution must be included on this list. No homemade or bakery items are allowed.

HSPT Preparation

To help students prepare for the HSPT, GA is offering test prep sessions after school to any 8th grade GA student that wants to attend. These sessions will be taught by Mrs. Gaul and Mrs. Selzer. There is no cost to attend the sessions due to the generosity of the Halo Hustle 5K organization. The sessions will be 2-hours in length, and will be after school from 3-5pm on the following days (please note the change in dates from previously communicated dates).

If your child plans to attend the HSPT prep sessions offered after school at GA, they must order the Barron's Test Prep book and have it available during these sessions. Click here to purchase.

Boosters and PTA Dues

Guardian Angels has three major parent-led organizations that provide services to our students: PTA, Athletic Boosters, and Fine Arts Boosters. This $100 fee covers all three programs (PTA facilitates the collection).

The PTA is a critical link between the teachers and the parents. The money that the PTA receives from its portion of the dues, along with fundraising throughout the year, allows the PTA to put on events like the Penny Fair, manage the used uniform exchange, provide teacher appreciation events, and invest in capital improvements at the school.

Last year, the PTA fundraising efforts supported painting the intermediate and junior high hallways, new furniture for the 3rd grade classrooms, and a remodel of the Junior High Collaboration Space. Athletic Boosters plans to use their dues to offset the rising operational costs for uniforms, equipment, league fees, as well as ensuring a top-quality experience for our young athletes. The Fine Arts Boosters uses their funds to support school performing arts as well as fine arts.

The classroom party fee is $15 a child. This money is used by PTA classroom coordinators to plan and put on parties for each homeroom. Grades preschool - 4th grade will have themed parties for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. Grades 5th - 8th grade will enjoy pizza parties for Halloween, Christmas, and the end of the year. Click here to pay dues and party fees.

The PTA facilitates the collection of monetary gifts for the teachers at Christmas and the end of the year. This is not mandatory but provides an opportunity for parents and families to celebrate teachers and staff with a monetary gift. Please use this link if you would like to contribute to teacher and staff gifts.

Attendance Line

All families must call the school office at 513-624-3141 for any attendance-related changes. This includes if a student is going to be absent or tardy, a change is needed for how a student will get home, or if a student needs to go home early. Calling will confirm that the school receives the message. Parents can call the school office at the number above at any time. Do not email changes to attendance/pick-up; always call the school office.

Lunch Service

Kaldi's Catering Services provides GA students with lunch offerings each day. Parents need to set up and pre-order lunches through the EZ Schools Apps platform. Limited lunch items are available for students who have active accounts with available funds on the day of service. Please create an account if you don't already have one.

Cafeteria Volunteers Needed

We are always in need of helpful hands to keep an eye on our students in grades K-8 during lunch. Please consider sharing a small part of your day to assist. All volunteers must be SafeParish trained. If you are interested, please sign up!

Sensory-Friendly Mass at St. John Fisher First Sundays of the Month

St. Gregory the Great Family of Parishes and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Office for Persons with Disabilities offers a Sensory-Friendly Mass on the first Sunday of the month at St. John Fisher. All are welcome! A special invitation is extended to any person with autism, developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or sensory issues. These Masses may include lower lighting, quiet music and/or no music, and shorter more literal homilies; however, the biggest difference is that we try to create an environment free of stigma. We encourage families and individuals to get up and move if needed, to bring alternative seating, fidgets or noise cancelling headphones, and to participate in the liturgy just as they are.

St. Gregory the Great Mental Health Ministry Is Here for You!

LifePrep for 8th Graders

All St. Gregory the Great 8th Graders will have the opportunity to participate in an exciting new program next year that facilitates the fine tuning of key life skills: self-awareness, communicating, relationship-building, decision-making, generating and managing income, time management, and other key skills, all with a Christian mindset. We will meet monthly from September through April as a group on the first Wednesday of the month from 7:00pm-8:30pm in the Youth Room on IHM’s campus; and then once more for 20-30 mins each month during the 3rd week (times and locations TBD) in a 1:1 meeting with a teen life coach. Please see the LifePREP brochure or contact Steve Von Hoene, Associate Director of Youth Evangelization stevevh@sggparish.org , for more information.

Children's Liturgy of the Word

Children's Liturgy of the Word takes place at Guardian Angels Church on the third Sunday of the month at 10 am for children ages 4-8. If you are interested in helping out, email alisonr@sggparish.org.

Greeters and Gift Bearers Needed
