Did you know Wicker Park Bucktown SSA #33 provides financial incentives for the installation of private security cameras facing the public right-of-way? Security cameras are one of the easiest ways to deter vandalism and crime and SSA funding is available to help cover 50% of the cost of purchase and installation up to $1,000. Offer available to all PIN-holding properties in SSA #33 along Ashland, Damen, Division, Milwaukee, North, and Western.

HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW MURAL?
Chicago artist Frank Quintero recently dropped by to install a brand new SSA #33-funded mural on the south wall of 1440 N. Ashland Ave. The bright green face of his signature character “Pancho” can be seen between the tree line over the neighboring Carnicerias Guanajuato grocery store (presumably hungry for tacos from next door). This is the 2nd new SSA-funded mural in Wicker Park Bucktown in 2021 and we’re still looking for walls to install more. Please reach out us at SSA33@wickerparkbucktown.com if interested.

SSA #33 LEGACY BUSINESS PROGRAM
Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area #33’s Legacy Business Recognition Program highlights businesses that have been serving the Wicker Park Bucktown community for 15 years and more! Storefront windows all over the neighborhood proudly display orange window clings identifying each of these legacy businesses and recognizing their service. This week we take a look at The Goddess and Grocer!
Two parts rock n’ roll, one part Chicago, and one sassy Aussie –The Goddess and Grocer is anything but your average neighborhood spot. After traveling the globe for several years touring with and cooking for the likes of Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, and The Rolling Stones, owner Debbie Sharpe fell in love with Chicago during a Paul McCartney tour stop and promptly jumped off the crew bus and stayed.
