Mellon Foundation Awards Grant to CHiFA to Advance Cultural Heritage Preservation

CHiFA is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the Mellon Foundation to support planning and research for interpretation of cultural sites in the Tehuacán-Cuicatlán Valley biosphere reserve in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. The $500,000 grant will enable the creation of immersive and interactive learning tools to support the development of a cultural route along the Oaxacan Rio Grande. Additionally, site-specific visitor facilities will be established, engaging community members in a collaborative conservation strategy focused on a broad range of cultural and natural resources.
