Fortunately, it WAS just a drill. This morning’s mass casualty simulation training, now in its 7th year, is a partnership between #UTHealthHouston and Houston Fire Department. The simulation prepares health care first responders for an actual large-scale emergency incident.
Students from @ciziknursinguthealth, @uthealthsph, @mcgovernmed, and @utsdhouston participated in the real-world scenario that included triaging the wounded and preparing them for transport to a hospital via ambulance.

Turkey legs, an ice sculpture, and lots of warm smiles were found at this year’s Fun Fest!
The annual event is one way the university expresses appreciation for its #UTHealthHouston community for all they do day in and day out. After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the return of Fun Fest is both a nod to our history and a look forward to future years.
