AEA's New CAET Certification
Bringing avionics technician training and recognition into the 21st century
The CAET is a knowledge-based certification for entry-level technicians, and earning the credential serves as the foundation for a series of stackable certifications, which will eventually include the CAET Advanced and CAET Pro. These certifications will require more in-depth knowledge and skill requirements, as well as a practical test. The successful completion of a CAET certification requires passing a written exam that must be taken online through the Unmanned Safety Institute.
As AEA President and CEO Mike Adamson stated during the CAET’s introduction on March 18, “The AEA is committed to supporting the growth and development of the aircraft electronics industry by providing high-quality training and certification programs. The launch of the CAET program is a significant step toward addressing the workforce shortage and ensuring the continued safety and efficiency of business and general aviation." More...
