Opening Our Hearts Through the Maitri Bhavana Ceremony

Join us in person or online via Zoom

6:15 PM MT · Tea & Conversation

6:30 PM MT · Maitri Bhavana Ceremony & Teaching

On Monday, while Tim is away, our community will gather for the Maitri Bhavana Ceremony. Through tonglen, the practice of taking and sending, we open our hearts to those who are suffering. We breathe in their pain and breathe out the relief, care, and support they need. This practice helps soften our hearts and cultivate compassion for others.

All are warmly invited to join us. If there’s someone you’d like included in the ceremony, please add their name using the link below.

Supporting Our Guiding Lineage Teachers

Throughout November, we're highlighting the lineage teachers who have visited Steamboat, shared their wisdom, and guided our practice for many years. Join us in giving back by contributing to the Lineage Fund and helping sustain these teachers and the monks, nuns, and communities in their care.

Quote of the Week

“If somebody doesn’t begin to provide some kind of harmony, we will not be able to develop sanity in this world at all. Somebody has to plant the seed so that sanity can happen on this earth.”
