12th Annual Junior Florida Netball Classic!

March 30th - 31st, 2024

April 19th - 20th, 2025

Mark your calendars, Netball is Back!

The BuZZZ!

We, the organizers of the 12th annual JUNIOR Florida Netball Classic are absolutely thrilled and excited for what is about to take place on March 30th - 31st, 2024!!! With our new open air venue in place, the tournament promises to be bigger and better with Family Fun day activities challenging both players and spectators alike! WHO WILL TAKE HOME THE COVETED GRACE BAILEY MEMORIAL TROPHY !!

With only three (3) month remaining before tip off, teams from all over the world have inundated us with request for participation. School and clubs from as far as England, Wales, Uganda, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand have all shown increased interest in being a part of the youth netball explosion currently happening in the Americas!

Recently crowned all island champions from Jamaica at the under 16 (Queens High School) and 19 (Holmwood Technical High School, our 2023 Jr FNC under 19 division champions) levels are making their preparation to be a part of our opening line up. Whilst perennial Trinidad & Tobago powerhouse Scarborough Secondary have been in preparation for the last 4 months and as of 28 days ago, remain unbeaten in the Tobago Super league. They are sure to be tested by our local teams especially Caricom Netball Club Juniors who have gained additional experience by entering their team in the Sr Florida Netball Classic this past November.

In 2024, the Caterham Netball Academy out of the United Kingdom will be testing their skills against the best that the Caribbean/Americas has to offer in terms of netball schools and clubs. They have committed 3 teams to the Under 14, 16, and 19 divisions and will surely have a spot in the trophy cabinet reserved for the Grace Bailey Memorial Trophy.

For our 12th edition and to celebrate the move to the City of Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater, there will be Family Funday activities added to the program of events! Get ready for races of all sorts, netball skill challenges, shooting competitions for both players and spectators alike, food trucks, music and many gifts and prizes.

We look forward to implementing these additions to a tournament that has already steadily gained the reputation as the "can't miss" premier junior netball tournament for the top youth teams in the Americas.

Is your team ready!

Congratulations

A hearty congratulations goes out to two of our past participants, the 2019 Grace Bailey Trophy holder, the Queens High School Under 16 Netball Club and our 2023, under 19 division champions, Holmwood Technical High School netball Club on their recent crowning as the Jamaican Inter Secondary School Association (ISSA) all island netball champions.

Queens, whose team just barely qualified from the first round after advancing as the second best third-place finisher went on a seismic run of form which culminated with a 21 - 18 victory over rural favorites Manchester High School in the finals at the national area.

Meanwhile, led by a brilliant display from wing attack Jada Ricketts, who was voted MVP, Holmwood turned back a strong challenge from St Catherine High (45-42)in the senior final.

We certainly look forward to greeting them on our Florida courts come March.

What to expect!

Year round sunshine, competitive International netball, cultural exchanges, beaches, professional sports, clinics. Florida has it all!

The Embassy

Applying for visas to enter the United States can be a daunting process filled with emotional ups and downs especially in the post pandemic era. US embassies globally have been inundated with request and as such are currently unable to meet the demands in a timely fashion. For our teams that are in need of visas to enter the USA, we offer the following protocol to assist with your navigation:

  1. After receiving your letter of invitation (LOI), instruct your agent to book the 1st available group date at your local US embassy (Even if the suggested date is after the completion of the tournament).
  2. If the group date is after the completion of the tournament. You will then need to contact your local Ministry of Sport to request assistance with getting your dates moved up to an appropriate time. Please include the name of your team, dates of appointment and the names of the athletes who will be looking to attain visas in all correspondence.
  3. Whilst that process is on going, the embassy has notified us that teams should check the appointment website daily as new appointments are added depending on demand.
  4. Consequently, follow the attached LINK, sign into your US embassy account and complete the "Request Expedite" tab where you can enter a reason for requesting an earlier appointment date.

We wish you the best of luck through this process and please do not hesitate to contact us at info@floridanetballclassic.com. should you need additional assistance.

The Venue

Coral Springs Gymnasium

After much deliberation, it is with great pleasure that we announce our newest collaboration with the City of Miramar to become the future home of the Florida Netball Classic tournament series utilizing the Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater located at 16801 Miramar Pkwy, Miramar, FL 33027.

Typically used as a concert venue, the 25,000 square footage space under tent will allow us to comfortably fit three (3) netball courts under its massive canopy with the possibility of a 4th outdoor court in the backstage area. The canopy will provide cover for any inclement weather conditions and allow us to create our long lasting dream of providing a carnival like experience for our patrons with extra-curricular activities for all players and guest. We look forward to welcoming you to our newest addition.

Traveling Options:

Interested in participating, but don't know where to start, let SPORTOURZ customize a package for you and your team. Visit the space coast and take a tour of the Kennedy Space Center where you will learn about the Apollo mission to the moon or even meet an astronaut. Later stop by Cocoa Beach and the world famous Ron John's Surf Shop for some shopping then indulge with a surf lesson from one of their pros.

If you have a bit more time, let us take you outside of Florida as contrary to popular belief, netball is very vibrant in the United States.
