"If there's one habit that's really going to help you take back control of your life, it's scheduling. I used to resist using a planner or schedule. I thought it would make me feel restricted. But scheduling is in fact how you learn to be more independent and create more of the results you want in your life.
"Planning out your schedule engages the purposeful and strategic part of your brain that has your best interest and overall goals in mind. When we try to decide in the moment what we'll do next, we're usually deciding from the lazy part of our brain that just wants to do easy and fun things like watch our favorite show or text our friends. This starts the habit of procrastination! But creating a clear schedule to follow combines a healthy balance of study and work time with leisure and rest time. You're not only far less likely to forget things and run late, you'll also be far more productive and motivated to get things done!"
