Spotlight on Meyer Lemons
Did you know that Meyer Lemons are grown in Mississippi? Yes indeed!
Meyer lemons are believed to be a cross between a regular lemon and a mandarin orange. The fruit is about the size of a lemon, sometimes slightly smaller, with a smooth, deep yellow peel. Meyer lemons taste similar to regular lemons but with a sweeter, more floral taste. When ripe, they have a citrus, spiced aroma. Visit Dolly Farm's booth to pick up your Meyer lemons!
For a successful and satisfying trip
to the market, try putting into
practice these two tips...
  • Make a loop, then revisit to purchase. Check out all of the booths first and then head back around a second time to purchase top picks.
  • Be open to trying new things you've never seen before, or to revisit foods you have written off previously. Making a loop first gives you a chance to find these fresh jewels.
