1.Thank you to the households who were able to join us for Godly Play this past Sunday, and for the Blessing of the Animals as well.

Our Godly Play room continues to gather strength. Five children from three families enjoyed the Story of the Church Year as told by Patty and Diane. The kiddos made necklaces with colored beads corresponding to the colors of the liturgical seasons and holidays (for example, purple for Lent, white for Easter, Red for Pentecost, etc) Godly Play returns again Sunday October 16. Join us!

Though I failed to take any captivating photos at the Blessing of the Animals, (I took a picture of this dog on Cuttyhunk Island) there were 19 humans and 14 non-human creatures-- many dogs, Paul the Gerbil, pictures of 2 cats, and the ashes of a beloved cat (Meatloaf). All were celebrated as gifts from God.We collected 55 dollars to send on to the MSPCA as we ate a variety of human and dog sweets and enjoyed one another's company.

2. We have begun the 2023 Annual Appeal:

3. Please keep in your prayers that suitable candidates apply for our Church School position. That position is here. I have posted at Harvard and BU Divinity Schools; the Department of Religious Education at BC; Indeed; Idealist; the Facebook pages of FORMA (that national Episcopal Church School association) and the Massachusetts Episcopal Educators; and the website of the Diocese of Massachusetts. We have raised the pay to $25/hour.
