A planned gift costs nothing today, can be updated at any time, and gives your values a lasting role in building a stronger, more compassionate community.

Whether or not you choose to include a charitable gift, National Make-A-Will Month is a meaningful reminder to review your estate plans. Keeping your will current is a thoughtful way to care for the people you love while also considering the causes that matter most to you.

Did you know your support of Lafayette Urban Ministry may qualify for an Indiana Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credit?

Through NAP, eligible donors can receive an Indiana state tax credit equal to 50% of their contribution to LUM. For example, a $4,000 gift to LUM can qualify for a $2,000 Indiana state tax credit.

Your full $4,000 gift supports LUM's work of providing help, hope, shelter,  and food, to neighbors in need, while the $2,000 tax credit can reduce your Indiana state tax liability.

NAP credits are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are considering a gift to LUM, this may be an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution while receiving a significant Indiana tax benefit.
