Go Fish!

Join us on Saturday, June 13, from 4-6 pm for Outside|In: Go Fish!, a celebration of the remarkable herring that return each year to the Mystic River and the community art inspired by their journey.

For many years, we have partnered with ArtsArlington through the Outside|In program to highlight public art projects that enrich our community. This spring, ArtsArlington joined with the Mystic River Watershed Association to create Go Fish! As a result, more than 2,000 hand-painted fish created by local residents have been installed in schools, businesses and public spaces throughout Arlington, transforming storefronts and gathering places into vibrant works of community art. Even our artists joined the fun!

At the gallery this Saturday, Public Art Curator Cecily Miller will discuss the motivation and development of Go Fish!, followed by poetry readings from local poets Terry Carter and Steve Rapp inspired by our local waterways. Learn more about the Go Fish! project and our guests here.
