Celebration of Life: Kevin O’Shea
With heavy hearts, the powered access community mourns the passing of Kevin O’Shea, who died on August 13, 2025, at age 64 after a brief recurrence of cancer. Just shy of his 65th birthday, Kevin leaves behind his beloved wife Alison, stepson Andrew, and a cherished grandchild.
A proud Scotsman from Glasgow, Kevin built a remarkable transatlantic career devoted to safety, innovation, and service in the access industry. From his early days with JLG, to co-founding Mastclimbers LLC, to his leadership at Hydro Mobile/BrandSafway, Kevin championed training, safety, and community at every step. His humor, music, and warmth made him a friend and mentor to many.
He also served as a leader and advocate through SAIA and IPAF, shaping global training standards and mentoring hundreds, including OSHA inspectors. His legacy is one of leadership, advocacy, and friendship.
