Tuesday, October 6: Marcia Ollinger - “Stories for Sharing” Marcia Ollinger, an Independent Performing Arts Professional and a CSMSG member, holds a master’s degree in children’s literature from the University of Missouri. Marcia’s career in the performing arts began more than 40 years ago when she heard a storyteller at the Arch. She began by attending meetings of the Gateway Storytellers of St. Louis and completing workshops and classes. Marcia now has a repertoire of holiday stories and those involving traditional folktales from around the world, which she has told at local churches and at the Annual Storytelling Festival. She has also presented at Jefferson Barracks and the Old Courthouse. She has even told family stories she learned growing up in St. Louis—including those she heard from her grandfather who helped build the Bird Cage at the St. Louis Zoo. Marcia always brings a contagious enthusiasm to each opportunity for telling stories.

Ministry Spotlights
Episcopal City Mission
For roughly 25 years, parishioner Tom Guignon and his family have served with the Episcopal City Mission (ECM), walking alongside young people in juvenile detention centers across the city and county. Three times a year, CSMSG members of ECM host parties for the kids, a small gesture with a powerful message: someone cares, even here. ECM also supports chaplains who offer counseling, hold services, and pray with the kids. To get involved, contact Tom Guignon at tom.guignon@gmail.com.
Adult Formation
At The Church of St. Michael & St. George, we believe that our formation in faith doesn’t end when we graduate from Sunday School or Confirmation. We are lifelong disciples, always learning, questioning, growing, and discovering more deeply what it means to follow Jesus. As the late Eugene Peterson said, "In the company of Jesus, we are all beginners." Adult Formation offers us opportunities to explore Scripture, theology, prayer, spiritual practice, and the questions that matter most—while learning alongside one another in a community of faith.
This Sunday, stop by the Adult Formation table in the Great Hall after church to learn more about the classes, studies, and opportunities we’re offering this year. Come see what interests you, bring your questions, and find a place to grow. There is always more to discover—and we’re better when we discover it together.
