Learning from Tampa: Ideas for San Jose’s Future

Last week, the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce led a delegation of business, civic, and community leaders to Tampa to explore what has made the region such an attractive place to live, work, visit, and invest.

Through conversations, site visits, and discussions with local leaders, the Chamber Study Mission examined Tampa’s approach to economic development, downtown investment, sports and entertainment, waterfront development, housing, and regional collaboration. We’re returning to San Jose with new ideas and insights to consider as our own region continues to grow.

A special thank you to our Tampa hosts and speakers for generously sharing their time, experience, and perspectives with our delegation, and to our sponsors for making this valuable experience possible: Casino M8trix, Microsoft, San Jose Sharks, Cisco, Hoge Fenton, PP&Co, and San José Mineta International Airport (SJC).
