The House of Prayer invites everyone to a Community Meal Wednesday, November 6th.

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital is offering FREE diabetes group classes on November 12th and November 19th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The diabetes group classes are available to help you and your loved ones learn to monitor your blood glucose levels, take medication appropriately, plan nutritious meals and snacks, make exercise an important part of your life, manage stress, set goals, understand weight management, and prevent complications related to diabetes.
Both classes are needed to complete the session. For more information or to register, call 434-517-3846.

The Corner at Two One Six
We are excited about our November Class Schedule! On November 16 we will have yoga with our beloved yoga instructors, Kelly and Catherine. Yoga begins at 10:30 am.
On Wednesday, November 20, Cutting is returning for our second ever Tai Chi class.
Tai Chi begins at 6:30 pm.
All classes are $15 and all levels of experience are welcome! Build upon your current practice or try something new!!

Occoneechee State Park Turkey Trot!
In honor of our veterans.
Come out and enjoy your park! Join us for fun, exercise, crafts, games and prizes. All ages can participate. Walk. Run. Hop, skip or crawl. Costumes and well mannered pets are welcome too.

Entry fee is $7/vehicle for park entrance fee which can be waived with a donation of 4 cans of food, preferably Thanksgiving cuisine. All donations to benefit the local Food Bank.

The Turkey Trot is back for 2024! Only $15 till October 6th! We are looking for sponsors for the race this year! With food prices food banks are running out of food and struggling to keep up with demand. Do you know 1 in 2 people in Halifax County qualify for food assistance?
Please think about being a sponsor, 100% of the sponsorship money goes to food insecurity. We are asking $250 to be on the shirts as a business sponsor or $100 as an individual name but any amount is appreciated.
