Dear MGPG Events and BWe Family,

In my world, we often use the saying "time flies when you're planning an event!" I had to steal a brief moment to catch you up on what we have been doing at MGPG Events, Inc. but more important, to emphasize how critical our voter participation is on or before November 5th.

As creator of the Black Women's Expo almost 30 years ago, I have seen the struggles and challenges our sisters have gone through with their businesses as they tried to be seen, heard and have a seat at the table. The same applies when it comes to voting. Too many before us have fought, struggled and died so that we can have our voices heard!

So on or before November 5th, I ask that you exercise YOUR RIGHT, and please go vote!

I can't believe that we are only 10 days away from the Chicago Urban League's 63rd Annual Golden Fellowship Dinner. It has long been billed as the "must attend" gala in Chicago, and I am honored to be able to put "Merry's touch" on it this year. For the first time ever, it will be held at McCormick Place where there will be much more room and a whole lot of fun surprises! If you don't have your ticket yet, please hurry!
